National Blood Week...... Will you?

Last 2 sessions I've been to we had these new chairs.

When I first started we all got local from the same multi-dose gun. Then were offered the choice of having an injection (needle) then the needle or just the needle. Don't get that offer anymore (I never went for it).
There's something new every time.

These chairs are really comfy compared to the gurney-style flatbeds. I imagine the later models will have iPod docking stations, free WiFi and stuff like that.

If they can fit X amount of beds in the vehicle(s) they have now why can't they fit the chairs in instead?

From looking at the pic, I would guess that the gurney-style ones probably fold up into a smaller volume, so easier to fit in the vans?

GF and I have both got timed appointments on the 28th of this month. This evening I got a phone call asking me if I am going to attend. 5 mins later she got identical call. It's a shame they couldn't have asked us both with the one call. I know it will be down to confidentiality just would have made it easier as we were cooking at the time.
Apart from that, how can we be sure that we will be fit and well enough in 4 weeks time?

I did try to give blood in a number of occasions, but never managed to as I have very low blood pressure..
