Walking into the hangar to be faced by the rear of that rocket is one of the most breathtaking sights I've ever seen.
The book is worth the read. It gives plausible answers to all the issues, and has loads of the construction pictures to back it up. When did you go there ?

We went a couple if years ago and had great day out, definitely worth a visit :-) .

but besides the fun... i'm still not convinced, when the Russians were so much closer, that the Americans won the space race and actually landed on the moon.

Discuss.

There's nothing to discuss. The Americans landed on the moon in 1969, simple.

Abbey Park is a stones throw away from the Space Centre. I go through it everyday on my commute and straight by the Space Centre. My kids loved it when they were little, eldest (now nearly 16) was space bonkers when a nipper.

It is bang on national cycle route 6 if you fancy biking to it.

The Russians would have been the first to call them in if it was a fake. Besides, my dad was privy to the telemetry along with everyone else where he worked as they tracked them in both directions, and i believe him
