I collected my Genesis CdA 30, which surprisingly doesn’t show yet on the Genesis Bikes website!
My lbs had about 5 of each size, on Sunday last week, a day after I got my C2W certificate. I went in and ordered on the following Monday, for collection today. Today, there’s only an XL size left in stock 😅
I have adjusted the bars to level, as I don’t like them as they are in the picture, and taken the cages off the pedals. As I’m not into clipless pedals, I’ll stick for a while with the plastic flats provided.
I have adjusted saddle for height and reach, and all feels great!
I’ve only done a few miles, and the GRX fr &rr deraileur seems sweet, I think the gearing is pretty low, and I’m keen to see some hills quite soon.

the WTB tyres seem to roll pretty well on the road, and I had a short dash over some local unmade cinder & pebble track, which also seemed fine.
No time left today for a cycle, but maybe tomorrow!

Nice. And for once a bike that you could actually use for riding to work!
Enjoy.

What are those mudguards, please?
They are SKS Speed rockers, recommended by the great chap in my lbs, where I purchased this bike.
they are easily removed, but I didn’t get around to it just yet!
I’ll probably keep them off the bike until the weather changes, as they’ll definitely be needed fo my commute.

I had something similar at some point, and I wouldn't recommend them. You get a lot of spray on your feet and lower legs from the section of rear wheel that is not covered by the mudguard behind the seat tube.

I used those SKS speedrockers all last winter on my CX bike which has no mudguard mounts and found them acceptable and cant say I noticed my feet and lower legs geting wet but I was wearing shoe covers and tights most of the time., They kept the worst off and did not need constant playing with though they did slip down on the forks once in a while as only kept up by friction. The only problem I found is that the rear guard rubbed the paint off the rear of the seat tube. When they go on again in the winter I will put some protective tape around the tube.

I am pretty sure that you have your bottle cage upside down. :shy:
Mmmmm, the polite people would have kept quiet, and just muttered to themselves “Look at this plonker!” But you had to mention it in front of the whole class! 😂😂😂😂😂
There really no defence is there.... I was in a hurry as Mrs SnG was waiting to go out, and I didn’t realise until half way round that I’d mis-applied the thing 🤣🤣
Sorted now !

Also rear brake cable not secured to provided point on down tube. I can see that cable getting snagged if riding through woods.
