Near miss

• Riding to work this morning nipped through a free car park ,only about 10 cars parked up ,I noticed a car with brake lights on so passed behind him about 30 ft away , next minute this member of the brain donation society decides to reverse back at about 20 mph nearly smashing me into a wall . After questioning his parentage for several minutes I got the usual S M I D S Y ,I wouldn't mind if 6ft 16 stone wearing a luminous work jacket and had 2 200 lumen lights on the bike at the time grrrrrr

He didn't see you because he didn't look. Worrying, although I think my handle-bar mounted spinning disco ball would have attracted his attention.

I had the same thing today a car parked by the bike rack in the car park, just peeled out into my path without looking.

Car parks are dangerous places - far too many other things for drivers to think about - looking for parking spaces, what's on the shopping list, retuning the radio...
