We will be watching again .... it's a program that the whole family can and wants to watch - there aren't too many of them around that appeal to the whole family.

No it isn't, it's a programme. Programs are what your computer uses and what they watch in the US.

One thing about that episode that stuck me .. and left me labelled as really nerdy by my daughter was the number of bicycles in that episode ... definitely at least 3 different ones - which I felt wasn't too bad a showing.

Sadly I noticed them too:blush::reading: especially the bit when they were running away from the scary alien and the cyclist was going towards it and they never warned them:ohmy: Am I taking it too seriously?

they also score bonus points for featuring a classic mini, although not a true mini cooper as the bonnet stripes would suggest. paint scheme and interior trim show it to be a Mayfair !!!

good show, good doctor. lets not forget that Dr Who is not about one specific actor, it's bigger than that.

what ever they do it cant be worse than Christopher "personality bypass" Ecclestone

not sure i like the new interior for the tardis but the new Dr is spot on.

apparently professor river song is making a comeback in an episode… yummy.

Now, I'd wondered about that, as isn't there a bit of continuity problem here? In 'Silence in the library', River Song immediately recognised the David Tennant Doctor, even though the as- yet-unspecified relationship she had with him was in his future, but must still have occurred before he regenerated into the new Doctor?

indeed. having not long seen it recently iirc she also describes tennant as looking younger, whereas smith is clearly younger still, albeit dressing somewhat older.

the get-out, of course, is that not everything in the doctor's timeline makes it into a show…

I loved it and more importantly so did my autistic 10 year old who lives and breathes Dr Who.
Mrs B and 19year old eldest had been naysayers, pouring scorn and derision ever since Matt Smith was announced. Mrs B has yet to watch it, but the eldest watched and liked the story at least.
I'm sorry to say I though Amelia was Karen filmed in the style of Hobbits in Lord of the Rings (forced perspective) and not her little cousin [LOL] until I watched Confidential.
Copied both to DVD so Mrs B can't help but be drip fed untill the 2nd episode is screened, whilst it no doubt is watched repeatedly.
However the Si Fi channel had back to back classic episodes on today 12-20 so that's
4 more DVDs worth to add to his collection and 2 from the previous day.

As each Dr time travels there is an opportunity for each incarnation, or even the same incarnation to simultaneously exist together at some point. I'm guessing that each episode isnt a linear representation, but more dribs and drabs of his travels.

Also She seems to recognise his character rather than his appearance iirc. I thought she'd said he was different but the same, if you get me.
