I rarely signal when turning left. I work on the premise that a signal is to give someone else information that they can use to modify their behaviour to avoid a problem. A left signal to anyone behind me is therefore pointless. The only left signal I give would only be to someone waiting to turn out, as a courtesy so I don't delay their manoeuvre by forcing them to wait.
