Absolutely agree with you there Paul. I've no reason to lie but then no one has any reason to put any value on my opinion either.

If people's experiences are different to mine then I completely accept that, but for other people to intimate that I'm lying or deluded is a bit crappy I reckon.

Imho I think that it is "more likely" that my experiences have been different than yours. Maybe all the years of not wearing a helmet and high viz have made me deluded. Is that better ?

lol I would say that it's definitely the case, not 'more likely'. I wouldn't assume anyone was deluded based solely on their experiences being different to mine...

Sorry Peter but this is a real bug bear of mine. Whether the idiot cyclist was wearing high viz or a helmet is irrelevant as neither items can guarantee that you either cycle carefully or safely.

Christ-on-a-bike, what kinda people are on this site? Just checking back in and this whole thing is about people wearing helmets or bright jackets WTF?!?! I wonder if I mentioned he wasn't using cleats, then people would have argued about that too!??! Or that he was a he and not a she. Get a grip! The OP was about an idiot who jumped a red light and nearly hit me, or if I was not there, then the ambulance would have hit him. It makes no difference if the cyclist was green from outer-space with several heads too large for a cycle helmet. Is this part of the forum always like this?! Is no one able to make a post without thinking some words may offend others, like "he was on a fixie", I can't say that as it may offend people who ride them and think they are the best thing since sliced bread and everyone else is morons. Maybe people have too much time on their hands and just hang around like trolls looking for something to pick up on to get a reaction?
I wonder how that will go down!
