I had a close call with a tractor once as the tractor had two trailers attached to it ghetto-like. The second trailer was essentially attached onto the first with some rope and it was some sort of spikey-hay-churning-device (I'm not a farmer, so I don't know!) and would have really hurt if it hit me, I'm surprised it didn't considering it was swerving all over the road. I did laugh however when he got to a small bridge where his rear most trailer slammed right into the bridge.

If you weren't aware of him, I'd suggest a rear view mirror. Frowned upon by some, I swear by them and they come in really handy on the last part of my commute, a winding country road. If I see a large vehicle behind I tend to take primary until they can pass safely.

Might be a decent idea, wonder what others think of them? Cockpit already looks like a 747 though

I was once nearly hit on the head by a mobile home type thingie.

Big truck came past, fairly but not quite scarily, close when I became aware of large object going past my right eye at a distance of about 12-18 inches. 'Twas said mobile home thingie sticking well outside the trailer
