I've got a winter jacket going spare, just taking up space so you can have it for nowt if you like. What size are you?
What pedals have you got and do they have any rubber on them?Feet keep slipping so need clipless pedals/shoes.
Tights filled with cat litter. Absorbs some of the whiffs too.Pick up a metro/daily rag to pad out shoes overnight/after each journey. This will do a good job of drying them out
Take it to a bike shop to get the mudguards, evil things to fit. I have bontrager ones on the cambridgeAnyone know if these (wide version) will fit a Whyte Suffolk with 32c tyres?

You may also need warmer gloves/socks, a buff to keep your face warm, a skullcap for under your helmet (if you wear one)Or spend some serious money on kit!!!
Learned the hard way today of the perils of not having a mudguard. Would not have had wetter feet of I'd walked through a river. So mudguards required for 32c road tyres. Man!!!!
Also need a proper jacket or I'll go from healthy through ill to dead in about 3 - 5 days. Was cold and wet today - not a great combo!

And need some degreaser/disc cleaner/lube etc to keep my bike in condition through winter crud.
There's at least £200 in the above!
Oh, more bib trousers
Hi I have no idea what you wrote but I'm only replying because I like your avatar.Lovely dry and warm day here 18c... Nearly went short sleeves! What winter?oh and the evening light was fantastic, sorry late afternoon light was fantastic....
Seriously though, only every used toe clips and straps and just like clipless there is a knack to it and it takes a little practice, plus I never ever use the ones that come with the bike as new. They are always too small to use.
Winter is the best time of year for commuting.
