Anyone got any experience of bikes made by NeilPryde?

A colleague is fancying the Navare and asked if it was any good. Certainly looks like a nice bike, with good spec and reviews, but got no experience whatsoever. The odd thing is the pricing between the Ultegra and 105 models. The price they have seen shows a difference of £440 between them, with the only difference being the groupset and the slight bump in wheels spec. Can get a full Ultegra groupset for £429.99 and sell the 105 groupset for decent money off replacing the wheels with something nicer?

Anyone got one?

I used to have a NeilPryde sail on my windsurfing board back in the 80's. I don't think that is much help to you though, so call it a free thread bump

I've got a Neil Pryde wetsuit. I don't think that is much help to you though, so call it a free thread bump

(Though looking at the weather forecast it actually might be of use to you)

I shall probably be windsurfing tomorrow. In the Neil Pryde wetsuit. Board when it's windy, bike when it isn't.
'course, it may be I just have a thing for tight fitting neoprene or lycra clothing.

Indeed. That was the first port of call. No help from a review point of view though.

My mate has one. Forgot the version but it cost him 2.5 grand. I had a go on it and didnt rate it tbh. Indeed my mate had a go on my merida and commented how smooth it was. For me the neil pryde was a bit of a rattler..tho he did have 23m tyres and dura ace wheels on it. Maybe felt better with 25's? Also about 2 weeks after he got it there was aloud clicking noise coming from it..turned out the bb needed replacing..it was a new bike!!
