Seriously, you don't want to get hit by one of them. I saw on some crappy tabloid TV prog a motorcylists who took a pheasant to the head (he did not have his visor down) and the injuries were very nasty.

Yes I saw that one, broken nose at the very least I think... Not only that, but in swerving after it hit him, he only missed slamming into a tree by a couple of feet....

About a month ago I passed a dead deer by the roadside. On the return journey I saw an elderly chap struggling to drag it into the back of a pick-up, so asked if he needed any help. He replied "Yes. You wanna to go halves?"xx(. I declined the offer.

Of the other road kill on my regular loop, there's a badger that gets flatter every time I ride over it. Yesterday it was so thin and dry that it had started to flake. And there were crisp like flakes of badger floating about on the breeze. A new walker's flavour perhaps?

Kamakazi pheasants are my problem at the moment. Nearly offed twice last week by them.

Nearly had me again tonight in the same place and this time there was 2 of them. I am sure the bugger is waiting for me.
