Yes this is a good idea, and if you don't use ebay, they sell frosting film in B&Q in different designs

Voile, we have these on the overlooked rooms at home. They don't cut out light and you can see through them fine. Ours are plain with a light tint to match the room

Well we are all entitled to our own opinion, I've not known anyone to have a problem with this film,. And working in a DIY store which sell's it,and not had 1 customer complain about it.

I just have to ask, what's the difference between voile and net curtains? Price? Pretentiousness?

Just go for a natural look. Stop cleaning the window and find a few spiders to do the window for you. No effort involved at all.

It is a new double glazed window, so replacing the glass is not an option
Easier and cheaper than you think but finding someone to do it is the problem .
I find the fashion for window coverings rather amusing as ive worked in that area for a very long time . Everything looks nice for a while but nets show class

Place a powerful strobe light in the window triggered by a motion sensor. That way you can wander round in the nuddy safe in the knowledge the neighbour won't have seen a thing.

Homebase sell a frosting spray that's not bad . Better and easier than a film if you want to go that route .
