Help, my grandaughter got a netbook for her birthday, i bought her a dvd player to plug into it, she want's to watch films on it, what is the best free software to use,

i use VLC Media Player

It might include some with the package. I think mine had PowerDVD or something similar. It was the basic version, but did the job.
