I have always slapped on whatever I felt like using. With the SRF3 hub I used 50 x 14, then 54 x 15. Now I use 13/15 on both the 2 speed and the 6 speed, both with a 52T chainring. I'm not a fan of big gaps, or of gears that rarely get used. I might feel differently if I lived in the mountains.

Useful.

I'll pass it on to a friend of mine who has just got the 4-speed.

He's the same guy that had his Brompton fail and this is what they offered as a replacement (it's an upgrade I think).

But he's not using it yet because what he says he should have done was get the SuperLight 6-speed. So I think he's planning to sell his and try and pick up an SL 6 in Amsterdam I believe.

They do present a cogent, thorough discussion. I like the lovely lady on Brilliantbikes as well.
I can't decide about her - can't figure out if it's tongue-in-cheek dryness they're going for, or she's just dull.

(Very useful and informative btw, just feel like they lack personality.)
