I've always liked Edith as a name.

Ellie/Ella variations are very very popular at the moment, it's a lovely name but she will be one of many. Ditto, Emma, I know about 10.
Our daughter is called Matilda, she was named after the cahracter in Leon, about an assassin. She recently went to an event where they had to explain how come they were named what they were, there were some funny looks from the staff when I picked her up.

So Matilda, it's a lovely name.
Matilda is farking badass.

A college chum of mine had been to a convent school presided over by one Sister Mercedes - I always thought that was one cool name.

For something slightly less weird, Hannah. Or Martha (my dear).

I do think you have to wait till she's popped out and see what suits her (other than the obvious "twinkletoes", "angelbaby", "winstonchurchill" kind of thing, obvs!). I have a bit of a knack of naming our animals - you just have to look at them for a while and the right name comes to mind.

I actually like my own real name best of all - Rosalind. But it's not very Norwegian. Also foreigners have trouble with it because it ends on a hard consonant - I've had to adapt it in Spanish-speaking countries to "Rosa" (which doesn't really suit me) just so people can remember my name. And the French say "Rrozza-LEEEEND" ending on a sort of shriek.
