Although it’s not brand new but nevertheless sheer source of joy for me…it is N+1 project.😜

I tuned a bright red one of these today. Not nice to work on but beautiful to look at.

sure do hope you enjoy it!

I’m impressed you noticed👍🏻😃

I work for Trek… those aren’t “our“ wheels…

mind you, my Domane doesn’t run “our” wheels either, they are just sorta homely.

as you can see it also runs an early 70s Dura Ace derailleur, so my opinion on components is quite questionable.

So dare I ask….what’s your opinion on Ritchey wheels🤔

Let’s just say the original owner of that bike didn’t bin the perfectly good Bontragers that it came with because he wanted to downgrade the bike. The only thing I see ”wrong” with that bike is that it doesn’t sport the bright red paint that some of them do.

when the weather is too cold for using it as intended you could put it in the front room and enjoy looking at it over a favourite beverage. Not that I’ve ever done such a thing…

I guess would never know the fate of the Bontrangers it originally came equipped with. As for the color I think Dnister Black looks quite nice unless one is a raging bull immune to all colors except bright red😂

Somebody bought a Madone SLR Project One into the shop today. One or two years old and totally thrashed, the paint is all chewed up, big gouges in the frame, scrapes everywhere… looks like he leaves it banging about in the back of his work truck with his tools. And I get to tune this wreck… Pah!

some people just don’t deserve nice things!

That’s awful, you’re absolutely right in saying that these people don’t deserve nice things and then on the other hand there are those who keep them in the living room next to couch on a carpeted floor 😜😂
