I just want nice thin tubing, more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and although i do like that caadx. I'm just anchoring after something a little different.

The thing is my 29er does what the caadx can do, so that base is already covered.

Aaaaargh who said to take up cycling.

Doh that be me.

The equilibrium is Reynolds 853 tubing. It retails at £400 for the frameset. It will ride differently to a good ALU (from say Kinesis) but not better in any meaningful way, and be a lot heavier. Out of the ones you're looking at, it's probably the best choice, although I do like the no non-sense look of the Kona. I just think that something like a CAADx would do everything the equilibrium can, but better, and be really handy off-road as well.
The equilibrium comes in at a 9.53kg which is lighter than my giant defy 4 alu/carbon bike was.

Fair enough.

But I have to say this, hankering, it's hankering! Although anchoring is quite a clever misspelling.
