Hi all, here is my dilemma, i say dilemma more of an uncertainty....Ive owned a good few bikes over the years but mainly full suspension bikes for trail riding but have recently started cycling to work and also distances, (canal paths etc)

I am after advice on what hard tail to get, (not a road bike) looking to use this for my work cycle and also saddle days, doing around 60ish miles. (not to work) i've never ridden a bike without some form of suspension and due to the popularity in cycling now, there just seems to be soo much choice.

the things i do want on my bike are hydraulic brakes and 29 inch wheels everything else if fair game, not sure whether or not to go down the hybrid route as i do like the look of the Whyte Pimlico Hybrid, but also the Whyte 529.

Any advice/bike suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Go ride the bikes you like the look of

The R7 fast hybrids are fantastic :okay: (they have 700c wheels, which is basically the same as 29” but those are seen on mountain bikes)

For the uses you describe you don’t need any suspension.
If you fancy drop bars, you could also look at the gravel/adventure type bikes
