Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to buy my first bike. I've a short commute to work (roughly 3 mile) and was hoping to use the bike for this purpose and as a fitness tool. I wouldn't be clocking mega miles per week. I'm not the smallest build (6ft and 100kg) not sure if that will play into it. Unfortunately I completely missed my Cycle to work scheme. I also won't qualify for the Scheme next year, as I'll likely be leaving the area in August 15. I really liked the Boardman CX Comp when I saw it, but Halfords don't do Finance, and I can't really afford to stump up all that cash in one go. (I'm straight out of uni). I even tried to appeal to their better nature and see if they could throw in any sweeteners.
I'm based in Dundee but will be heading home towards Liverpool this weekend, so can look around that area. Travelling around Scotland wouldn't be too much of a problem either. I'd love to get a bike sorted so I can stop being so lazy and cycle in! All input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Matt
