I have those very wise words ringing in my ears as I attacked a climb yesterday evening. Shame my legs and lungs paid no attention at all.

Oh, yes we have one of two long steady climbs 300 - 400 feet or so and one at 1000 feet (East Falkland). Climb circuits every Tuesdays and Falkland once every two weeks until I conquer it. Distance on Sundays leaving Thursdays for a short sharp blast around and about. It’s more about shifting the lard than wanting to play with the ‘fast boys’ however saying that being able track and pass a certain pretty boy does have a certain attraction.
