Which fork did you go for - steel, ti or carbon?
i havent really decided on forks yet - i'm pretty much torn between 3 makes - enve, 3T and Easton XD90's

but i got a few months before i need to make a decision

Not sure of your budget, but will one of the genesis carbon forks work on it, as they maybe cheaper and have mudguard mounts (as I think you said you did a lot of commuting)

This bike isnt for commuting sam, i have a synapse 105 disc that takes that duty or the 29er

Update at long last

Yesterday i eventually became the proud owner of my new enigma etape built for me be my local bike shop who i cant thank enough for the time hes taken to sort me build a great bike to my budget also spending a great deal fitting me... (cycles scuderia)
The bike has been ready for about 3 wks now and ive been clucking to get my new pride and joy but it unluckly coincided with a bad bout of siatica which has left me the thought cycling right out the question the physio has said 10 minutes max and building from that all going well typical.
I did ride the short distance home yesterday which was pleasing smooth as silk cant wait to ride again properly...
