New bike for mum £2k - Giant Liv Obsess Advanced 2016 - good value for money?

Thanks for the help everyone, it looks like we have a bit more research to do before we can make an educated decision. My mum is hopefully going to try out a friends Obsess this week, if she likes it then she'll probably order one. Last time I went bike shopping for myself, my choice in specification was no more complex than whether or not the bike had disk brakes and locking suspension!
She does get a club discount on some things.

Maybe if she's that keen she could train harder and then you could spend half that. BB
