New bike

I picked up a secondhand Giant STP se for free , and the frame is only 15", I am 5' 9", I've never had a downhill bike before, is this right for my size ?

I put a stem extension piece on all of my bikes anyway as I like an upright position.

There are only my two sizes available, 14" &15". As as dirt jump bike it needs a low saddle height as I understand it.
For free it can't be bad.

Found the left side crank was loose on its taper, totally mashed , I looked in my spares pile and found the exact same crank.
