Picked up my new bike today, a Dawes Century SE. Steel frame & carbon forks, I took it for a quick spin earlier and it glides along the road. I have added a San Marco Rolls saddle and some Shimano spd-sl pedals. This bike is my winter bike but I get the feeling I will also be using it for a few day-long rides in the summer.
I would like to change the wheels when the funds (& Mrs Lj) allow, maybe some handbuilts.

Very nice indeed, although I cannot get by those forks, I love to see the sweeping curves of a traditional steel fork.

Tasteful colour.

Good work, I'm so glad someone has bought one and posted pictures, because I was getting to the point where I was tempted myself! The Rolls and Carradice look absolutely spot on as well. It is good to see a genuinely desirable Dawes on sale again. What's it like to ride?

Ours has arrived, too  not built up yet though.

We've also just received a pair of replacement mudguards as Spa weren't happy that the ones supplied didn't have breakaways on the mudguard stays. Excellent service from Spa, I have to say.

Glad to see that on first ride impressions you agree that it's a really smooth bike, lazyj.
