Since I changed my wheels to Fulcrum 5 CX from handbuilts with DT Swiss rims, I've been getting a scratchy rubbing sound when I brake. It doesn't matter how often or how carefully I examine and clean the rims and pads, the noise doesn't go away. I'm using the pads that came with the brakes.

Brake pads are a bit of a mystery to me, so can anyone recommend some new pads that won't make scratchy noises and will fit my Tektro CR720s? If you could post a link so I know I'm buying the right ones, that would be really helpful ^_^

Koolstop salmons are great pads. Am I right in thinking the CR720's come with cartridge loading pads that are the same as shimano ones?

If so, these will do the trick.

I had no idea when I posted, but I've done a bit more research, and it appears that the older CR720s take V brake pads, and the newer ones take road pads. I suspect I have the newer ones, but I can't be certain, so I'll have to go and measure them now!
