For a start i requires taxi drivers to indicate well before a turn, so to allow the cyclists time to brake while riding through or to hang back, I can't see that happening any time soon
I have noticed that the trend among taxi drivers recently seems to be to engage hazard lights whenever driving at less than about 15mph. While this is technically accurate (frankly, some of them are hazards at any speed) it isn't especially information-rich as a way of signalling their intentions.
But with one of these "tunnel taxis" one does wonder if "all four corners blinking" would presage the vehicle peeling apart longitudinally and each side heading off in its own direction.
