When I ordered my disc trucker in early July, which will be built to my spec, I was told due to the size I wanted the frame was not in stock and would have to be ordered in. I thought OK a couple of weeks maybe? After a couple of weeks I rang the shop and was told, there were no frames of the size I wanted in the country and would have to wait for the next shipment from the States, Ok, I'd missed using the bike for my summer hols by now so I said I'd wait.
Now after phoning the bike shop again, the frame is now due end of October and is no longer maroon but blue

Bear in mind when ordered the bike I specced it with maroon frame, chromo mudguards, chromo rack, basically the colour scheme was maroon and silver. It is now going to be blue and silver, and I'm not sure about the end result, would it look better with black accessories?

Check out late 80s Saracen Tufftrax mountain bikes. There was a version with very similar coloured paint to your bike.

I'd stick with silver.

You another one for silver.

Looking at the pic of the bike I thought.. wow.. what an odd looking bike it is.
Then I realised that it has 26" wheels. But you can order it with either those or 700c.

Room for luggage between wheel and seattube? That's one long wheelbase....

I think silver always looks better than black, but I also think the marron would have been nicer than the blue... so I'm not much help

Surely big bikes should have long wheelbase or else the rider's weight is over the rear axle.
Most big bikes have a short wheelbase.
I don't think the gap between my rear tyre and the seat tube on any of my bikes, I'm six foot two btw, is any larger than it is on smaller framed versions of the same bikes using the same sized wheels. Geometry will be different though.

...but it should be.
The idea of a 5'3" rider needing the same rear wheelbase (BB to axle) as a 6'3" rider is flawed.
