Have a look at a Fujifilm X30. Bit of a retro style but lovely ergonomics, well built and gives you a lot of control. It has neither the largest sensor nor biggest zoom, actually both are quite modest, but takes great pictures and makes you feel good!
Stick with optical zoom as much as you can get if this is a key factor, the 'mechanical' resolution of light is far better than digital interpolation.I have actually got Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ10. I have had it a few years now and it has had a lot of use and has taken a lot of battering. It only has a x12 zoom and I would like more zoom.
I will have a look through your suggestions and see what catches my eye. But thanks for the suggestions.
I used to work at Amateur Photographer back in the day. We thought a 70-210mm zoom was just the hound's cojones! It only has a x12 zoom
Crikey, you just reminded me of those long distance test shots of a navy ship moored on the Thames!I used to work at Amateur Photographer back in the day. We thought a 70-210mm zoom was just the hound's cojones!
More zoom usually means more telephoto. It only has a x12 zoom and I would like more zoom.
Is that all!I have a budget of £350.
Has anyone got any recommendations?
X12 is not enough? Have you thought of getting closer!!I have actually got Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ10. I have had it a few years now and it has had a lot of use and has taken a lot of battering. It only has a x12 zoom and I would like more zoom.
