New CX Wheelset

Hi

Was thinking of getting a new wheelset, which can be ready for the off road stuff, been thinking of the following - http://www.kinesisbikes.co.uk/products/wheels/crosslight-cxdisc

Anyone have any opinions on this set? Or suggest something else?

Yes same set as pictures 3 months old, just going with a dynamo build at the end of the month. Very good solid wheels. Done around 1300 miles.

For dedicated off road wheels I'd suggest looking at tubeless - Iron Cross if you want CX specific or 29er Stans Crest Hope Hoops if you were intending on running larger rubber. You'd get a better ride than every day clinchers and save quite a bit of rim weight too.

I have been looking at the Iron Cross but the rims from what I have been told are out of stock currently for new builds. This set would basically be ready for the off road with the current set for the commute, so could go bigger, there does appear to be the clearance for MTB specific tyres.

So was seeing what else is out there

I've just had a pair of IC rims turn up from Koo cycles - they can't be that unavailable.

I was a bit concerned when I saw your comment that I'd be waiting a while for them!
