We have gone backwards as a society.
Open corsa CX were 320 tpi and felt like tubs. Why don’t they make them anymore?
What’s the closest thing to them now?

Probably right but the old CX are more supple and feel faster.

I'd have thought they'd be similar as they are both 320tpi but I'll take your word for it.

Veloflex Corsa are good alternative and they are also Open Tubular style too .

I used to use them a lot when you could get them at a good price from the old Ribble Cycles . Nowadays they seem to appear now and then on various sellers.

And we now know thanks to BicycleRollingResistance.com they weren't that fast, pretty much like the tubs they felt like.

Corsa Speeds were fast but with zero puncture protection, whereas modern Corsa Pro are fast and if run tubeless you don't need to feel terrified that your chances of actually making it to the end of your 10 mile TT are 50/50.

Though in reality I am sure something reasonably pedestrian like a Corsa NEXT in a 30mm size run tubeless on a wide rim will be faster & more comfortable than any old school 23mm open tubular ever was.
