at the ripe old age of 4.5 my youngest son has become a bike rider. he's had a scoot bike for six months and yesterday i got the smallest proper bike fixed up for him.

we went to the park and he just scooted off and pedalled!

dear of him, are the scoot bikes the ones that are like a wooden bike with no pedals that you sit on and push along?

Looking at one for Christmas @ 2.5 yr

When I read the preview I missed the decimal point! It made strange reading after that!

I skim read that as 'got the smallest fixed bike for him' - seems a bit radical, going fixed at 4.5...

Well done to him.

At 4 and a half, that is impressive! The kid must have natural balance. I couldn't ride a bike without stabilisers until I was 9. on just two wheels I was ok with my mum holding the saddle, I was actually ok without my mum holding the saddle ... but I fell off the moment I realised that she wasn't holding the saddle!
