My impression of British Cycling is that it's all about sport, and sport will take money from anyone!

I find the Condom Depot logos plastered all over UFC fighters' shirts fairly amusing.

Quite agree.

For me, most car ads put me off a car, for the simple fact that they had to advertise the thing to sell it to me in the first place.

Yes it ilike that Alfa Romeo 'Gullietta' advert:

I am this, I am that, I am passion.... etc etc

No 'you' aren't, 'you' are a bloody machine, a chunk of metal, AN INNANIMATE OBJECT.... and not a very good looking one at that.


Gets on my tits that advert, does it show??

It will help to educate drivers that cyclists have rights as well
It will give drivers more inclination to ride
It will keep down the sales of cars

I doubt it. If it did that, they'd quickly fire the ad agency!

I'm afraid my first thought was just that they are jumping on the cycling bandwagon, having realised that (most) cyclists have money and there are more and more of us.. This time next year everything will have some other theme, as, I dunno, greengrocers, or model aeroplanes come into vogue....

actually down here along the sea front there are loads of model aeroplane enthusiats
