It's a bit more complicated than that...
Errrr, Adam certainly didn't take me that way on our reccie! It was the loveliest, most downhill-y-ish night ride route I've ever done!!
That's from Guildford, not London! It would be quite a deviation from HPC.

But Horsham is on the Downs Link.

Well, I do have a serious post. I tried to register for email on http://fridaynightridetothecoast.blogspot.co.uk/p/interesting-in-our-rides-heres-how-to.html a couple of days ago, and just then, but nothing happens when I hit the subscribe button. So unless you have multiple additions to your mailing list of fnrttc@mc<deleted>.org, then it's broken. Oh, and if you have managed to add me to your mailing list, then you need to fix it so it acknowledges you.

(Chrome on a Mac, if that is relevant)

Hopefullly @Agent Hilda isn't cross with me. I tried to find an image that allowed the joke, without being "air head in underwear". I'd be proud to be or ride with the model in the Berlei add.

You may be already on the list. If you are then it doesn't acknowledge.

No confirmation message means you're already on the list. I must find a few minutes to create a specific message to that effect - thanks for reminding me!

I have never received an email to that address, so I'm not on the list. I've just tried several random address, and nothing happens then either.

I've just looked at page source, and I think I see the problem.

<form action="//fnrttc.us11.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=41f3d41b5c6c84c2a857192bc&amp;id=bc0757e7ee" class="validate" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" method="post" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" novalidate="" target="_blank">

There is a missing "http:" or "https:" on the form action.

I'll check that but, well, 50+ new sign-ups since 1st August can't all be wrong??

We don't actually go into Horsham anyway, and you'll be pleased to note that we don't go on any off-road paths south of Horsham.

Having said that, I've got a lovely backup destination in reserve for next year, which does have miles and miles of off-road path which are a delight at night. But it's missing a half way stop at the moment.

Well, apparently the http: was in there in september https://web.archive.org/web/2015091.../p/interesting-in-our-rides-heres-how-to.html I suspect someone has updated things and broken it. Anyway, just create a unique email address and try to subscribe. If it works, apologies from me - and I will slink off.
Ah! Someone else was in that page just this week! I checked what was added, didn't check if any other code may have indvertently been altered. I'll follow up tonight. Thank you!

Shoreham-by-Sea: yay!
A wonderful destination. Home of Richard Durrant and a convicted paedophile priest and a selection of hostelries for post-ride hydration.
(And selfishly, I can ride home within an hour; if I'm still residing where I currently do).

The terminus or arrival point serves breakfast, beer and cake. What more do you need?

So I can justify buying a mountain bike?

Apologies to all for my confusing posts - I wasn't suggesting that @Flying Dodo would lead a merry dance down a dodgy rough cycle path; I was thinking aloud for myself.

I'll shut up now.
