England : Hampshire New Forest Route - 40 Miles, Any Ideas?

Afternoon folks,

I have been trusted with planning a 40 mile route around the New Forest. It needs to encorperate some kind of pub / cafe.

anybody experienced any good routes or stop off's in that area?

this will be our first 40 mile ride.

not sure how well it covers the area but I find it useful where I am to at least give me an idea of what others are doing

Did the New Forest Rattler the other week.

47 mile route went past some good pubs.

I do a 30 or 50 from my house at Frogham, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to tweak to 40 - here's the 30

The thing to watch for is where you cross the main roads, the above take you under the a27 rather than across it.

40 miles starting from where ?

Routes: Boldrewood and Rhinefield Ornamental drives are well worth including.

Stops:
If it's a nice day Holmsley Station Cafe is very bike friendly.... on the road southwest from Burley just near where it goes under the A35
Lepe Beach is another good 'un.
