Hi All,

I fell in love with commuter cycling about 3months ago what can I say I love it !!

I have just moved into a more central location in Glasgow & I really like my commute.

I get to cycle past the impressive Ibrox stadium (not a rangers fan or anything but it is some stadium) then cycle past the bbc/science centre & along the clyde which has all been done up & on really sunny days reminds me of brisbane Australias river side.

Just joined this forum & all the posts seem to have something I can relate to.

Only downside of my commute .. some tea leafer nicked my Livestrong band I had on my bike at the local asda!!

Look forward to reading all these posts.

Quite nice down at that bit of the Clyde now. I work at the Heliport at the back of the SECC. I travel in from Uddingston and hit the river at Glasgow Green after making it through the bandit country of Glasgow's east end. On a nice day the ride through the city is really quite nice, but on a bad day.....!!!!!

I come in from Rutherglen and go through Glasgow Green. I miss most of the 'bandits' and its a nice calming ride home along the river. Ideal after a busy day at work.

I cycle from Partick to Inchinnan, not much bandit country to go through... well just Yoker if I get the ferry.. and the tunnel at 6am doen't have any jagger or ned kicking about! And why would someone steal the band of your bike, was it Asda Govan?

yep it was Asda Govan .. my livestrong band is the lance armstrong charity wrist band had it on my handle bars for luck .. figure he never came off his bike in his hay day so bit of lucky charm.

I use to come along the cycle path from Hamilton & coming into Glasgow green is a nice relaxing ride.
