Paul here from South Wales. I tend to prefer road cycling. My road bike is at the bike doctors at the moment, but hopefully picking up Saturday. Looking to get a Pashley. Opinions ?

G'day, and welcome to the forum. I used to have a Pashley Roadster Sovereign. A bit on the heavy side, and only five gears available so I did get stopped on steeper hills. Nevertheless, a most splendid machine that I used to commute on. The bell probably weighs about the same as a carbon road bike, but sounds magnificent, and the Brooks B33 saddle is like your favourite sofa. I'm very happy with my current road bike, but I do still have a soft spot for the Pashley, wherever it might be.

Two speed kickshift with coaster? I would enjoy reading how you get on if you do... :-) I look at that sometimes but for now I'm common as muck AW.
