New National Anthem?

We have 2 in Denmark. One for official occasions and one for sporting events etc.

For the sporting events only the first couple of bars of music is played and then it stops. The crowd then takes over.

It works really well. Plus it is short.

Billy Connolly, worried that while the Irish, Welsh and Scots had their own anthems, England did not. His suggestion was the theme from The Archers.

The EastEnders theme tune is the most recognised music in the UK so would make a fine national anthem.

Why do we need one at all? It's a pain in the arse having to listen to them, the only good thing is it gives you time to make a cup of tea before the match starts.

Further to Mr Connolly's suggestion of the Archers' tune the words he suggested were:-
Dah-Dee-Dah-Dee-Dee Dah-Dah, and some Alka Seltzer.
