Ok so I posted this in the 'Things you want to say but can't' thread in Cafe regarding what happened in a charity shop yesterday.

So, what make are they, and what age?? 1970s??

i would think somewhere up to early 80's

I'd think they were earlier, 50s or 60s, by the 70s they would be aluminium and have boltholes for 'rat-traps'
Mind you if you come to sell them on here we know you paid £6.99 for em.

Hell of a banana though. Looks just about perfect. I'd say, vintage 2-3 days past a green purchase? 10-12p at best, though it does look quite chunky, so maybe a stretch to 15p?

My Schwinn has the same design pedals however aluminium ones(mine are probably Later like @raleighnut said...) my Schwinn is 80s btw

I am into railways generally, yes.

The mug in the background with a picture of The Flying Moneypit... I mean Scotsman, was a Christmas present from a well meaning relative, so I use it to keep things in.

I bloody hate that loco as the amount of time and money that has been spent on it over the years has had a detrimental effect on other items which are just as, if not more worthy

When they are all cleaned up, they should be worth at least £13.98!
