Very good! I like how the bicycle overtakes all the other motor vehicles which are supposedly faster. That's not really any different to how it is now - bicycles are the fastest form of transport in London.

slow IS quicker

slow IS quicker.. It is more environmental, low impact for the planet.
I made the bike still continue onwards, because I cant see it being much different in 2050, apart from some tech improvements. It seems possible to remake another bike out of bits of other bikes too..

Nice one.

It manages to say in 2 minutes what others need half an hour to explain badly.....In my book that's great animation :becool:

Not bad

Shame that the oil will last until 2050 imo!

The oil may well 'last' until 2050, but the top of peak oil was passed at the end of 2008. We are now in terminal decline.

That is to say the demand now exceeds supply, and with odd exceptions from now on, will always do so.

The fall off is fairly rapid, we go from over supply (and $18 a barrel) at the beginning of this century to a situation a decade later where the cost has already increased by 600%.
Over the next two decades the supply will drop by large percentages, demand will increase and the cost will unbelievable by todays standards

To put it in perspective, the cars rolling off the production lines today will not be running on fossil fuel by the end of their lives.

Do you know any babies ? The kids born this year will never own a fossil fuel car.

Oil isn't only used in motor vehicles, it's used to produce a vast amount of things in our everyday life.
Running out of oil will have a huge impact on the human race. A bigger impact than people realise!!
It's not all about motorised transport. Your rubber tyres on your bike are produced using oil.
Oil is an ingredient in thousands of things we use on a daily basis.

It's a scary thought.

We better stop wasting it by putting it into our cars then!

Actually, thinking about it.... Petrol/diesel is extracted from Crude Oil by Fractional Distillation. Surely you will get the same amount of other products (oil, plastic, etc) per barrel of oil, whether you burn the extracted petrol in cars or not?
