Smash the cistern
New ride has arrived and I'm super excited! It needed some assembly out of the box but I reckon I've sorted it. It's carbon frame (actually it's alloy but they've painted it and called it carbon) with nice purple finishing kit. Differential sized wheels are smaller at the front which helps manouvrability - when I took the test model for a spin it was certainly pretty nippy. Works as fixed wheel too. Solid tyres so will be puncture free and should be pretty good on most terrain which is good as I plan to use it for light off-road jaunts. There's a bit of flex to it which should act as reasonable suspension .
It's a folder - the action on it is pretty good and it should fit in the boot of the car. Useful as I plan to take it out and about as well as just local trips. Big basket as well so good for carrying loads. It's no lightweight, definitely over 10kg but that's with all the gubbins attached so not really too bad.
Not really going to get to use it for another six weeks or so but it's nice to finally have it in the house - my wife's even fine with it living in the kitchen. Can't wait to take it out for a proper ride!
