I've had to replace my Truvativ Rouleur (Compact 110 BCD 36t-50t) outer chainring. I've used an FSA Omega 50t ring but find the chain catches the shifting pins in the smaller 3 or 4 sprokets when on the inner ring. I wondered if this could be because the FSA ring is intended to be used with a 34t inner ring, or if it's because of the Rouleur's design. Does the bit of the spider between the chainrings have a standard width?

The direct replacement ring is about £60, which seems silly on a chainset that is available at £130ish, and since the original one has only lasted 5000 miles or so.

I'd be very grateful for suggested solutions, especially ones that avoid spending more than necessary, as if it's going to be another £60 I'd rather put that towards a new flashier chainset.

Thanks in advance.
