This has been in development for a few weeks by a gentleman who I believe used to post on here, although his opinions and manner of putting them across used to get a few people's backs up. He now frequents "another place" under a different user name.
Whatever, he's created something with rather interesting features.
Noteworthy differences (so far) from other popular sites are:
Full screen of Googlemaps, no control panels filling up the real-estate. This does mean you have to right-click quite a lot for context sensitive pop-up menus.
Ability to have two separate tracks on one gpx file
Distance so far by hovering over a point on the track
Can go in and out of streetview to check junction layout, without messing up the gpx track
He has, I read, many more improvements planned....
