Ok,

I know this has been covered before but im looking for more specific information on the Fizik saddles.

I have been riding for a while with my Scotts saddle on my road bike and its not bad but after 5-10 miles some area's go a little numb.

I have been in to a local bike shop and have got the Fizik Arione CX test saddle (a nice green one), this is the one with a plastic seat and titanium rails. I did a quick 12 miles on it last night while adjusting it, while out on the ride i flet it pressing on the sitbones rather then the soft areas elsewhere (A good start). The roads round me are not the best and i was getting a lot of vibration through the saddle.

The question is, would a carbon seat or carbon rails help with the vibrations?

The Fizik Arione CX comes in 4 options for me:
Plastic seat with Metal rails
Plastic seat with Carbon rails
Carbon seat with Metal rails
Carbon seat with Carbon rails

What are peoples thoughts on this? I dont mind spending the extra on the carbon seat and rails if its going to make a difference and is worth it.

Thanks
Gareth

5-10 miles? Seriously?? Is it fitted the right way up?

I put a new saddle on yesterday (£25 Madison Flux) and did over 60 miles before there was any discomfort at all.
