I'm not sure how good he was either the camera cut of a few times when he seemed to be veering into the fence or a slip road.And you wonder why!!!

It wasn''t really massively funny to me (apart from the slow-mo riding).
And everyone wasnt giving him room, they were just annoyed by his insanity.

Back in the late Eighties I used to go to a lovely restaurant on Lauriston Road.
I forget the name, but it gave a discount to NHS workers and was on the right as you headed north. It wasn't far from that roundabout.
We had our first meal out there following the birth of our first child. That little baby now lives and works on another continent... I'm going to cry.
Sorry, nostalgia trip over. I imagine Laureston Road is all fixed-gear bikes and Fiat 500 TwinAirs now....

Getting back on topic and misquoting Damon Runyon: Maybe the cyclist in the video is not daffy, but he makes a good pinch hitter until a daffy guy comes along.
Was there ever a better writer on 20th Century US life than Runyon? If anyone says Terkel, they are wrong.
