new shoes coming unclipped when under power

I have retired my 3 year old northwave commuting mtb shoes as the inner heel fabric is worn out and started using some spesh shoes and the shoe comes unclipped under full power out of the saddle efforts, never happened with the northwaves .
Cleats are set up the same and pedals under full tension , tried it with m520 and a 600 with the same effect

Are they multi-release cleats? Also, are the cleats seating properly? I.e., is the sole of the shoe interfering with engagement?

worth checking the multi release , came with the shoes so not sure, the cleats are engaging right

I had the same problem with some cleats, that's how I discovered that some were 'multi-release' can't remember if the cleats came with the shoes or the pedals now but they're safely stored somewhere at the back of the shed.
