New telly package.

I am waiting in for Virgin telly man.Last week we got a letter saying we were going to have to pay more for our service.
Not on your nelly i thought,so a call early this week and a grumble,means today we are going onto a Premier collection with a Tivo box and doubling our broadband speed.Land line phone stays the same but we have dropped the free international calls(wth) do I need that for.
A reduction in cost of over £8 per month and i think no increase in Feb of £4-59p.
So a saving of over £12 per month.What with slashing 50% off all the phones in November when i told them we were leaving,a good result for Postman and a bad one for Richard.
This will be done next year also,it's about time loyalty got a reward.

I'll be doing something similar with my phone come April - really unhappy with Vodafone coverage, but might stay if they give me a phone with bells and whistles !

They should od as long as you don't want an Iphone. 3 said they could reward my loyalty and offer some excellent deals but not on the Iphone

I di dsimilar with my sky service,i money is tight so i was going to cancel my tv .
Sky phoned up just before my contract was due to expire and offered me it half price for the year and did some magic with my call package to save money as well.Saved over £20 a month and the tv package i have is less now than what a freesat box would cost over the year .

Why is it a bad deal for Richard Branson (not that it is much to do with him at all)? By upgrading broadband they've probably signed you into an 18 month contract, therefore it can't be done again same time next year.

It's in and it is very good.My combined Virgin outgoings are now down by £21 per month.

recently cut my virgin tv package down to the bare minimum, (last time i had it on was to watch the Vuelta ) . they've just increased my Broadband speed to 60meg free of charge though and it blows Sky and the rest out of the water where i live.
Not that i get 60 meg very often, usually sits around 35meg
