Hi guys,

Just joined the forum, I'm guessing I'll be spending most of my time in classic and vintage.

As I have just in the last week or so, picked up a 1978 Raleigh Campus ladies bike to restore avoiding a respray or touch up paint.

How do!

I do find it worrying that so many classic and vintage projects and bikes I still think of as newish! I am really struggling to get up with the modern stuff, but I think my LBS appreciate me for entertainment value even if they did call me crazy on my last visit.

Good luck with the project and enjoy!!!

That is a problem being called crazy, lets face it when you can remember them being NEW calling them vintage or classic kind of make one feel quite old lol.

It was all done in good humour and taken as such  , I don't think they get too many requests for North road bars and string back cycling gloves anymore. They are hunting in the lock-up for various dust covered articles and probably dreading the day when I get my 50's Higgins trike back on the road.
