I feel somehow proud of the fact that I've worn out my first set of tyres on the "nu-bike" in under a year.

Been getting visits from the fairy on an almost daily basis this week and have now found a tear on the ridge of my rear (tiny but significant). Rear has started to skid very easily too (when I put on the air brake) and had a small rear wiggle on a bend last night

Off the the LBS to choose between some marathons and a set of armadillos.

Although...I quite fancy some of those tyres with the red beads on the side for purely aesthetic reasons of course as the red will match the bike (are they Vittoria Rubinos or something)

what are they like?

Fail.Should have changed before the daily puncture !! Good practice though. Don't buy Marathons really, you'll double the bikes weight !

Jonny they are good for commuting - Find the red sidewalls on my Michelins look quite scruffy after a few months - these would be ideal, although the red stripe would be hidden by my guards.

I like !
