Has anyone else received one of these so-called 'New V5C forms' which are doing the rounds at the moment? I think this is a scam, so I tore up the 'new' form instead of the old one. Be aware!

Not sure that it is a scam. The DVLA are replacing the old Blue forms with a Red one

When I bought a second hand motorbike in October, it was one of the new style red V5 forms that I got.

I wouldn't bank on it. If it were genuine, why wouldn't they send them together?

That would be too efficient. Remember that the dvla is a Govt dept

Oh dear Maz... well at least you can contact them and order another.
The red ones are being sent out because a gang stole thousands of blank blue forms so the only way they could ensure that fake ones weren't being issued was to design and print new red ones to replace everyone's blue ones. They will probably be starting with new registrations and working back chronologically not by address or alphabetically.
Didn't you get a website link/ leaflet which explained it all, I did.

All legit AFAIK Maz, reasons as Archie stated.
Used my red one when i taxed the car, so it's definately ok.

Of course they wont come together, its the DVLA, took them 6 months to work out i had moved when they sent me a speeding ticket, although in fairness i had actualy told them i had changed addresses, they had sent my V5 to the new address then sent the ticket to the old one a month later - doh

Contacted DVLA and they've sent me another V5C form - blank - for me to fill in myself.
