They usually are very good but the new one is fantastic. Production and visuals are top quality. I saw it on TV at the weekend and then at the cinema last night. On big screen it blows you away.
It has got the "Boddingtons" style end which it needs.

Close second is the "Yeo Valley" ad.

I thought so too. I liked the ad for its originality... and can only assume the firm thinks that spending what must be a LOT of money (in X Factor slot) will reap dividends by raising the image of their company... funny ad.

The Virgin one is almost great. It's very good - and I can imagine would be pretty stunning in a good cinema with Big Sound - but it's not quite as well integrated as, say, the Honda ads of a couple of years back. It's a collection of impactful 'bits' rather than a really strong 'whole', if you see what I mean. And if you're going to close an ad like that with a 'funny' end line, do make sure it's funny. 'No, she's in Miami' just doesn't stack up against, say,"Nah - Luton Airpor'"

You are quite right about the end line not being funny- Now you have spoilt it for me!
I was thinking along the lines of the Boddington ones with
"Do you want a flake in that?" and "Bi ek luv: you luk gorjuss"

I love the body scanner bit and the safety demo dance.
I went to see "Made in Dagenham" which while it was an OK film it looked a bit like a home movie compared to the Virgin ad.

Advertising aside, I'm rapidly going off Virgin (at least coach class ) as their standards have now fallen to the same level or below their competitors. Travelled BA this year and I was genuinely impressed with how they have improved by comparison and are significantly cheaper.

I couldn't disagree more! I've flown in all three classes on Virgin. Virgin's Upper Class leaves BA's Club World for dead, Virgin's Premium Economy is significantly better than BA's World Traveller Plus, and Virgin cattle-class has more leg-room and friendlier staff than BA's cattle-class.

Virgin is my first choice of airline on any route they fly.

Must admit, to use your words OTH, the Virgin advert blew me away...love the flying figures across the screen and the finale with the girl struggling with her shoe was a nice touch of 'reality'. The whole thing just makes me smile....not something you can do with many adverts at all.

Yeo Valley, just didnt do it for me. It goes on to long, its all 'samey' all the way through. It began to irk me halfway through.

But there you go...one mans meat....
